Singing Galway Bay

The view of the town upon exiting Ceannt train station
Okay, just giving  a bit of a heads up here that we arrived in Galway City at 5ish pm last night. Took the Irishrail train from Killarney departing at 11.50 am. Trip wasn't direct; we needed to get off at Mallow and Limerick Junction. From Limerick Junction we switched to another train leaving for Limerick, which eventually detoured to Galway after reaching Limerick station. Ticket was 59 Euros/person. Could have saved half of it had we taken the trip with Bus Eureann. But we didn't know about that possibility until we visited Killarney bus station one day before the Galway departure, so it was a little too late. In addition to the not-so-bright side, got no free wifi on any of those trains, which sucked.

Had a blimmin' Irish beef stew last night at this popular pub called An Pucan, which didn't help at all since I had a diarrhea :D. Food prices here are awesome though, a little cheaper than they were in Killarney.

Weather has been a bit chilly since last night, about 7 Celcius (43ish Fahrenheit) and today we're having some light drizzle. Overall, weather here has been super cooperative with us, nonetheless. No snow, no heavy rain, no extreme cold. Ireland is lucky to be one of the European countries that does not suffer from inclement Winter this year. Luck of this Irish it is! LOL.

We're just getting ready for breakfast here. Plan to explore the town all day today. Hopefully they have Carroll's or other interesting souvenir shops :D.

This town is supposed to be rather artsy, Folks. So we'll see. I'll write some more later.

Bye now! ^,^
